New Site Applications for the Spring 2019 season!

Spring 2019 Season

Thank you for your interest in hosting a Girls on the Run program! Girls on the Run is a positive youth development program that teaches life skills using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

Girls on the Run of Chippewa Valley proudly serves girls in 3rd -5th grades in Eau Claire and Chippewa counties and we are eager to expand our programming to inspire even more girls to be joyful, healthy and confident. We offer one program: Girls on the Run (grades 3rd - 5th). The season runs for 10 weeks, with girls meeting twice a week for 90 minutes, and culminates with a celebratory 5K running event in early May. We do not currently offer programming in the fall season.

We will be accepting applications for new sites for new sites on April 16, 2018. Sites are NOT limited to schools, but may also be located at churches, community centers, YMCAs, etc. See the 2019 New Site Information Packet for requirements. Girls on the Run provides you with everything you will need to deliver the program at your site, including the 10-week curriculum book, all program materials and supplies, training for coaches and site liaisons, and on-going resources and support.

New Site Application Process:

  1. Read the New Site Information Packet.
  2. Select Site Liaison - responsible for program administration at new site. Please review the Site Liaison Job Description .
  3. Gain program support and approval from the school principal or site director and return signed copy of an Administrative Letter of Support (customizable template provided).
  4. Submit online New Site Application after April 16, 2018, prior to Sept 26th, 2018. Please note that due to high demand for the program, we may not be able to accommodate all new site requests.

Before submitting New Site Application, the new site should have 2-3 coaches lined up for the season.

First-time coaches must complete the New Coach Application and will be required to comply with all coaching requirements, which includes attendance at a 1 day training session. It is recommended that each site also has a coaching sub list.

Job Descriptions:

Please note: A Girls on the Run team consists of 8-15 girls. If a site is approved, but can NOT secure coaches or register at least 8 girls it will not be allowed to operate.
